User side factors
If your internet speed is slow then it will take longer
loading the website for all the information to reach your computer. Depending
on who your internet provider is will verify your internet speed, some internet
providers have faster download speed then others so their customers will be
able to view websites faster than others that are with a different provider for
example BT will be quicker than sky.
Processor
If your computer has a low processing speed it will take
longer for the website to load particularly if it is loading images and
animation or videos. Also if you are running more than 1 website or multi-tasking such as listening to
music as well as browsing the web this will also slow your processing speed
down as the process has to process more than one task and this takes more time.
Using a mobile device it will take longer to download images and video than
downloading it on the computer.
Server side factors
An additional reason to what affects how quickly a website
resolves may be due to the performance of the web server For example network trafficking.
This can slow down the web server take a long time to load webpages or not
deliver a website at all, causing a negative effect on the performance of a
website.
